In this blog I often try to help you find clothes that are mama friendly, that is, “normal” garments that are suitable for pregnant and/or nursing women who love fashion.
But sometimes it’s worth to get some proper maternity and nursing items (specially bras and bottoms) so I decided to make a round up of the best online stores for affordable maternity fashion. Here is the list, and my favourite picks from each one:
What’s more convenient when you are pregnant than shopping your maternity clothes while you stock up in everything else you need?
An international powerhouse, it’s the safe place to go for affordable fashion for the whole family.
New Look takes maternity fashion seriously, stocking a wide range of belly-friendly clothing from great basic sets to pretty dresses.
Apart from their Maternity collections, they stock other well known maternity brands like Mama.licious, Isabella Oliver or Elle Macpherson Intimates.
Always at the forefront of trends, TOPSHOP Maternity is the perfect range for mamas who won’t let a bump get in the way to be the coolest girl in the room.
With a huge range of jersey tops and dresses, you can’t go wrong with GAP’s comfortable yet stylish pieces.
What do you think of this list, did I miss any shop you like? Where do/did you shop for your maternity wardrobe?
These are 2 looks that I think are easy and fun:
You don’t need to get a whole new wardrobe when you get pregnant. If you spend your budget wisely, you can acquire garments that you can wear before, during and after your pregnancy. Take these oversized tops for example; or the open cardigans and floaty kimonos.
If you (like me) love the loose top/ skinny bottom silhouette, what better than soft, stretchy and roomy t-shirt? Perfect to wear with a bump and then afterwards really easy (and discreet) to lift for nursing.
Don’t you love how she does it?
Newsflash! A cozy cardigan keeps you warm when it gets chilly like these autumn days. Who would have thought, hu? Well, in all its obviousness, I want to emphasize the goodness of this classic garmet: it’s super mama friendly, like these open versions that envelop the baby bump or give you easy access for nursing.
A graphic style is perfect when you want to add a quirky touch to your outfit, and the neutrals are a safe haven in the crazy daily caos. What’s your pick?

I know my posting has been very sporadic lately, I explained why before, apologies for that. It’s been a while since I posted a basic/pretty/sexy nursing bra post, so here it goes, hope you like it!
It’s freezing and raining (or even better, snowing) outside, but shops have started stocking pretty flowery things already. H&M, as always, has the best maternity basics a pregnant gal can wish for. I really recommend the nursing vest, they are perfect for layering on cold winter nights when your child feeds several times a night (like mine).
