When you are pregnant or nursing, there is only a limited amount of clothing you can wear, which is probably smaller than your “regular” collection. Hence you feel you are stuck on a style rut. And this is where accessories come to the rescue, transforming a plain and simple look in a sophisticated/boho/hip or whatever outfit your mood dictates.
Satchels are like rucksacks: they are pretty, they are bang on trend and they let your hands free. Any of these beauties will enliven your daily mama uniform:

Mama´s friends: cardigans

Oh, good old cardis! They are just style lifesavers. They can be worn all year round, on top of a sun dress in a chilly summer evening, or in clever layering underneath your favorite coat  in a freezing winter morning.
As for mamas, an oversized cardigan can be worn during the whole pregnancy, as well as a fitted one, just leave it unbuttoned.  And of course we nursing mothers know well the wonders of a nice cardi (I am rarely out of one).

Hopeless romatic, 6 breastfeeding and maternity friendly tops and dresses

I have always been drawn to the light, precious, lacy style, the kind that the Lisbon sisters would wear. I would normally add a “masculine” touch like black skinnies or a tailored blazer, but I also like the 100% dreamy, ultra feminine look.  May be a bit impractical for everyday activity but it can be a perfect style for a weekend outing with friends.
