New Warby Parker Corner Collection

Warby Parker Corner Womens

I have been contacted by the people at Warby Parker to help them spread the word about their new Corner Collection of glasses and sunglasses. Of course I have heard of this brand before as the one worn by all the cool kids in NYC (and beyond), and knew about their great social program: for every pair sold, they donate another one through a non-profit organization. Cool and socially responsible? That’s the kind of brand I love and support!

So, back to the new Corner Collection! The new 5 frames are inspired by traditional shapes (keyhole, cat eye) and colors (horn, steel) with a twist of sharp edges and innovative hues (rhubarb!).

Here is my favorite frames, instant modern classics!

Mama’s friends: more rucksacks

Because they are practical, cool and I love them, here is another round of backpacks to carry all you need (and more):
Rucksacks

It´s in the bag!

When you are pregnant or nursing, there is only a limited amount of clothing you can wear, which is probably smaller than your “regular” collection. Hence you feel you are stuck on a style rut. And this is where accessories come to the rescue, transforming a plain and simple look in a sophisticated/boho/hip or whatever outfit your mood dictates.
Satchels are like rucksacks: they are pretty, they are bang on trend and they let your hands free. Any of these beauties will enliven your daily mama uniform:

All that glitters

In recent months everyone in the blogosphere was going on and on about how great and addictive Pinterest was, so I decided to give it a go. Some weeks ago kind Justina send me an invite to join it (I asked her in one of her hilarious Pinterest Awards posts) and since then I have been hooked, badly.

I have discovered I have an inclination to all things pretty and shiny, especially if some turquoise or colour stone is involved. All that glitters is the board where I collect the beauties, check it out if you like.

Mama’s friends: rucksacks

If you are like me, you will need to carry a considerable amount of stuff with you whenever you get out of the house, and also have your hands free, so you can lift and carry your child, and well, function in this world. This is where rucksacks come handy, and since they are considered super trendy at the moment, you are spoilt for choice.

Here is a small selection of them, from neutral colours to fun prints:

Have a relaxing weekend!

String quartet

As you know by now, I am not fun of complicated shoes, and even less now that I am a mother.

Ever since I saw her  I have been obsessing about black flat string sandals. So simple, yet so effortlessly sexy. I´ve found these I love:

By the way, summer is (finally) here! Any adventures planned?

Mama-friendly shoes

If you are carrying a bump or a baby, chances are you won´t be wearing 6in platforms. Because that would be uncomfortable, unhealthy (if you are pregnant) and, well, a bit silly (right, Mrs Beckham?). Of course, stilettos can be worn during special occasions, but strutting in your heels on a day-to-day basis is out of the question.

But fear not. There are plenty of beautiful shoes that will make you feel beautiful too. Brogues are still very much in, and lately sneakers have made a comeback. You are spoilt for choice!
